페이스북•호주, 극적 타협…뉴스공유 다시 허용

Facebook is to restore the sharing and viewing of news links in Australia.
This comes after the Australian government offered amendments to its recent legislation requiring the tech giant to pay for news content that appeared on its site.
Facebook had vigorously objected to the code and blocked all news content in the country.
The revised deal with the Australian government will allow Facebook more time to negotiate with publishers, which means it would not have to make payments right away.
The amendments also suggested that if digital platforms voluntarily contributed enough money to the Australian news industry,…the companies could avoid the rule entirely.
