Business sentiment among South Korean companies edged down this month due to negative sentiment among small and mid-sized manufacturers.
According to the Bank of Korea on Wednesday, the Business Sentiment Index for all industries was 76 in February,… down a point on-month.
A reading below 100 indicates pessimists outnumber optimists.
By sector, BSI among manufacturers dropped 3 points to 82.
Among manufacturers,… business confidence of SMEs plunged 9 points,… and the index for exporters was down 2 points.
Sentiment among non-manufacturing businesses edged up 2 points to 72,… thanks to slight recovery in the construction and wholesale and retail industries.
