트럼프 72시간만에 조기퇴원… 백악관에서 치료 및 격리

Over at the White House, President Trump drew criticism for walking up a balcony and removing his mask, when there’s a cluster of infections stemming from a Rose Garden celebration in late September.
While the commander-in-chief boasting about his experience of going through COVID-19 treatment, many question if it’s a safe decision to return.
Kim Do-yeon turned to some health experts for their analyses.
President Donald Trump left Walter Reed Medical Center on Monday night local time for the White House, where he will continue his isolation.
But questions are being raised as to whether it’s safe for Trump to leave hospital just 72 hours after being admitted.
“So I do think in general, it’s likely a reasonable decision and it’s important to remember that he’s not going home to an ordinary home, he’s going to the White House, where there is a medical unit, where there is 24/7 staffing of medical personnel, where they have the ability to give oxygen and intravenous medications”
Trump was initially taken to hospital as a precaution.
“He was just placed at the Walter Reed because of his oxygen saturation having dropped twice. And so they just wanted to make sure that he was in a facility I think that if he needed high level of oxygen supplementation that he could receive it.”
While at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Trump also started a five-day course of Remdesivir.
“But we do give remdesivir and dexamethasone to those people who require oxygen, even if it’s a small amount or a transient amount. So, he didn’t have an uncomplicated case, but he didn’t have a grave case or one that made him critically ill.”
While his short media appearances throughout the past couple days suggest that he could be responding well to treatment…some doctors say there isn’t enough information to make an accurate assessment.
In addition, experts say the worst period of coronavirus symptoms is usually around seven to 10 days after infection.
And according to the White House’s timeline, President Trump’s worst period would be coming up in two to three days time… raising further concerns about his discharge from hospital.
