Danny Han’s Spanish Story: Turning a Dream into Reality
Growing up, I attended an international school in Costa Rica, a Spanish-speaking country, which sparked my lifelong curiosity about Spain.
During my university years at Sogang University, I interned for six months at LG Electronics in Madrid. It was during this time that I discovered IE Business School, a renowned MBA institution, and even visited its campus.
After graduating and working for six years at two multinational companies in Korea, I decided to pursue an MBA at IE Business School. By then, I was married and had a child, and the value of Spain became crystal clear to me.
The name SpainAgain reflects this sentiment—a longing to return to a place where dreams are revived and life feels extraordinary.
The Birth of SpainAgain: From a Dream to Reality
After completing my MBA, I worked at LINE’s European branch before leaving to create SpainAgain.
Initially, it started as a small idea. While interest in Spain was growing in Korea, there was a lack of comprehensive, reliable Korean-language resources. Fueled by my passion for showcasing Spain’s authentic charm, I launched the website.
We began by sharing insights on Madrid’s hidden gems—boutique shops, restaurants, and attractions—and eventually expanded our content to cover the entire country. Today, SpainAgain has evolved into a trusted source of information and inspiration for those passionate about Spain.
Study Abroad Consulting: Built on Trust and Expertise
Study abroad consulting was never part of the initial plan. However, with my diverse experiences in studying, interning, working, and starting a business in Spain, people began reaching out for guidance.
Initially, I referred them to Korean study abroad agencies. However, I quickly realized that many of these agencies lacked expertise and a deep understanding of Spain, leading to less-than-ideal outcomes.
This realization motivated me to take the leap into consulting. I contacted language schools across Madrid and Barcelona, met with their representatives, and thoroughly assessed their offerings.

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic brought significant challenges. Spain faced a severe lockdown, and my family returned to Korea when we discovered we were expecting our second child.
During this time, I paused SpainAgain activities, as even visiting the website stirred longing and sadness. Like many others who dream of returning to Spain, I found myself deeply nostalgic.
As the world recovered, inquiries about SpainAgain increased. I resumed consulting services and now visit Spain at least once a year, helping others turn their dreams into reality.
