The Museo del Traje is a museum located in Madrid. The museum has a large collection of historical garments. The word “Traje” means “suit” in English, and the museum preserves items from the 16th and 17th centuries, including a woman’s vest from the end of the 16th century. The collection from the 18th century includes excellent examples of men’s suits.

Museo del Traje and Vega
The Museo del Traje is a museum for people whom are interested in learning about fashion from the 16th century. The museum allows you to take photos without flashlights, and has a really large collection of suits. They also have explanation of how different fabrics are like and is very interesting to learn about.
They have different kinds of suits for different occasions and different times. It is like watching Runway from the past, the detail on the handmade suits are quite impressive.
After a walk in the museum, taking the metro to our next stop: Vega, would take approximately 30 minutes. As most restaurants in Madrid aren’t in that area, going to the city center for a meal would be what I recommend.
Vega is one of the best vegan restaurant in Madrid. Unlike a lot of restaurants in Spain, they are open during afternoon times for afternoon tea. Their afternoon tea menu is just like their dinner menu without the main courses, but they still have all the drinks, starters and desserts.
I personally really enjoyed their smoked pumpkin soup. It tasted nothing like the pumpkin soup I’ve ever had before. The texture was incredibly smooth and creamy, the seasoning in the soup was delicious. I’ve never thought that smoking pumpkin would make pumpkin soup taste so tasty.
The apple and banana crumble with coconut ice cream is not to be missed as well. The crunch in the dessert goes incredibly well with the ice cream and tea.
I’ve only been there during afternoon tea time, but I would love to go back there to taste their main courses in near future.
